Benzimidazo is an extinct pigment which is not longer in production, making it an exceptionally rare find for artists and pigment collectors. It has as a unique hue in the blue-violet spectrum. I would describe it as a mix between Phthalo Blue (PB15) and Dioxazine Violet (PV23), not only in hue but also in handling properties. Benzimidazo Blue is heavenly staining, transparent and has an exceptionally high tinting strength. It feels like a lost in time, mysterious, 'purple' indigo.
